Egyptian Minister of Oil and Mineral Wealth Tarek El Mollah on Tuesday asserted the importance of joint work to accelerate the implementation of low-carbon emission projects as part of the oil sector’s policy to achieve sustainability.
The minister’s remarks were made during his meeting with Chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes Lorenzo Simonelli and his accompanying delegation participating in the 50th edition of Gastec 2022, held in Milan, Italy, on September 5 till 8.
The two sides discussed cooperation domains especially the establishment of low-carbon emission projects and improving the efficiency of using power in the oil and gas sectors.
Mollah expressed his appreciation for the constructive cooperation with the international company and its backing form the Oil Ministry’s programs to qualify youths and mid generations operating in the sector.
The two sides also reviewed the executive status of current co-operation projects and means of reducing gas emissions from refinery companies.
Simonelli, for his part, said the company is looking forward to opening up new fields of co-operation with the oil sector in the various fields.
