CAIRO – Chief Climate Officer of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Jake Levine said that Egypt’s NWFE program, which aims to fund projects in the sectors of water, food and energy, will succeed in meeting its goals, as it had prioritized projects which need to be invested in, especially those relating to the green economy.
Levine’s comments came during his speech in a session on the cost of the green and sustainable financing, amid the activities of Egypt International Cooperation Forum (Egypt-ICF 2022).
He pointed out that DFC, the World Bank, and several other international institutions are closely working to increase the share of the private sector in the field of the climate change action, reducing the cost of financing, and boosting the cooperation in the projects of facing the climate change.
The second edition of Egypt-ICF kicked off on Wednesday at the New Administrative Capital under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
