In ongoing efforts to support civil society, Egypt’s Northern Military Zone has launched “Week of Goodness” in collaboration with the Tahya Misr Fund, providing aid to thousands of families in need across areas in the zone’s vicinity.
The initiative includes several programmes targeting vulnerable groups. One prominent campaign, “Your Country is With You,” offers household essentials and electrical appliances to 400 young couples preparing for marriage, easing the financial burden on families and helping young couples start their lives.
Medical convoys are also part of the initiative, delivering healthcare services across various specialties to over 10,000 families. The programme features a special segment for individuals with disabilities, supplying essential items to support visually impaired individuals and facilitate their integration into society.
Other programmes include “Best Friend,” which assists people with disabilities, “Back to School,” which provides school supplies, and “Bon Appétit,” which distributes food and grocery items to 10,000 families. The initiative also launched a “Clothing Campaign,” distributing 120,000 new clothing items for children and adults.
Major-General Hesham Hosni Hassan, Commander of the Northern Military Zone, expressed high valuation of the efforts made by Tahya Misr and all participants, including civil society organisations and business leaders, highlighting the Egyptian Armed Forces’ commitment to contribute to efforts for improving living standards for the country’s most vulnerable citizens.
