Diaa Rashwan, the general coordinator of the Egyptian National Dialogue, said that the dialogue is for everyone and no one will be excluded from it except those who have killed or sabotaged.
In his speech during the launch of the dialogue, Rashwan said that the Egyptian people are not divided and there is a great demand from all groups to take part in the dialogue.
He pointed out that “the ideas and proposals emanating from the dialogue will result in legislative and executive outcomes that will be submitted to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.”
He explained that “it is at the core of our work to set rules for disagreement and agreement. Public opinion does not wait for words, but for new actions and procedures that fulfill hopes.”
The national dialogue is being launched about 3 months after Egyptian President Sisi called for it.
The General Coordinator of the National Dialogue, Rashwan, invited the 19-member Board of Trustees to hold its first session yesterday, marking the official launch of its activities.
