MAKKAH – The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has not yet received any official complaint from citizens against any licensed tour operator as regards organizing Hajj trips through visit visas, said head of the Egyptian Hajj tourism affairs office Samia Sami.
If it is confirmed that any company arranges trips for any pilgrims outside the regulatory framework or unofficially, an investigation will be opened and relevant legal measures will be taken, she stressed.
The tourism ministry had more than once called on all licensed tourism companies to abide by governing laws, she said according to MENA.
The official also urged citizens to avoid booking any Hajj trips beyond licensed tour operators and Hajj visas.
