The State Ministry of Information denied on Thursday reports circulating in some media outlets and on social media claiming that a foreign vessel docked at Abu Qir Port en route to an Israeli port, carrying a shipment of steel used in weapons and ammunition manufacturing.
Authorities said these claims are false and baseless. They stressed that all loading and unloading operations at Egyptian ports are conducted in line with international maritime agreements. They added that port activities are subject to a precise system of real-time monitoring and oversight.
The State Ministry of Information urged media outlets and social media users to adhere to professional standards. It called for verifying information and relying on official and credible sources before publishing or sharing such claims.
