FLORIDA – Egypt’s new satellite “Nilesat 301,” launched earlier Wednesday, belongs to the latest generation of satellites, Country Director for Egypt at Thales MEA, a French multinational satellite developer, Sheriff Barakat said.
Speaking to Nile News satellite TV channel on Wednesday evening, Barakat said the “Nilesat 301” satellite boasts many features that are not available in any other satellites, such as very high-speed data transmission and security against jamming attacks.
In addition, the new satellite is capable of overcoming any data transmission problems, Barakat added.
The new satellite was launched by the Space X Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida in the United States.
