CAIRO – The “NilePreneurs” initiative, one of the national initiatives sponsored and funded by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), announced the launch of a special programme to support women entrepreneurs in Egypt in a bid to increase their contribution to attaining comprehensive sustainable development.
In press statements, NilePreneurs initiative CEO Heba Labib said that the “WEMPOWER” programme comes as part of efforts exerted by the State and the CBE to enhance women’s participation in the economy.
Under the initiative, three programmes, which will be funded by the European Union (EU), aim at carrying out projects for women, she added.
The CBE is funding the initiative that is implemented by Nile University according to a five-year agreement aimed at developing, qualifying and increasing the capabilities of young entrepreneurs in SMEs and enhancing domestic output.
