Nile Air and Ain Shams University Hospitals have officially partnered to bolster the healthcare system in Egypt, with a specific focus on supporting children undergoing bone marrow transplants.

This collaboration, spearheaded by Dr Nasser Al-Tayyar, Chairman of Nile Air, underscores a commitment to strengthening co-operation between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly within the vital health sector. It reflects the deep fraternal ties between the two nations.

The newly signed protocol outlines significant contributions from Nile Air, including the funding and equipping of two isolation units (advanced isolation capsules) specifically designed for pediatric bone marrow transplant patients. These crucial facilities are projected to be fully constructed and ready to admit patients within six months of the signing.

Beyond infrastructure, the agreement also encompasses special discounts on air travel for Ain Shams University faculty members and patients requiring critical treatment abroad.

Furthermore, Nile Air will facilitate a programme for employee salary donations to support these initiatives.

The agreement was formalised by Captain Yasser Saad, Deputy CEO of Nile Air, and Dr Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals.

The signing ceremony was attended by President of Ain Shams University Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abidin and Dr Ali El-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ain Shams University Hospitals.

All parties confirmed that this collaboration serves as a model for supporting the medical sector and alleviating the suffering of underserved patients.
