Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour on Monday inaugurated a number of education and service facilities at Tanta University.
Tanta University President Mahmoud Zaki and Supreme Council of Universities Secretary General Mustafa Refaat were present at the opening ceremony.
The new facilities are part of university plans for continual development in tandem with efforts to upgrade education and research, and services for the local community.
The new facilities include a centre for international relations and expatriate affairs to maintain contact with scientific research institutes worldwide alongside catering for expat students under the Study in Egypt initiative.
The minister also opened an electronic examination centre tasked with digitising student services. The university started operating the e-examination system in academic year 2021-2022.
Also opened was the LE3 million robotics unit will be available for post-graduate research and provide services for electronic industries.
The postgraduate building at the Faculty of Law was among the facilities what were opened yesterday plus the distance learning management system (DLMS) covering the university’s 14 faculties.
