Within the framework of the Armed Forces’ keenness on continuous co-operation with various ministries and state institutions to exchange expertise in many fields, the Fire Fighting, Damage Control, and Safety Academy of the Naval Forces recently welcomed a delegation from the General Administration of Civil Protection (GACP) at the Ministry of Interior.
The visit aimed to foster co-operation and exchange expertise between the two institutions. During the visit, the delegation toured the academy, exploring its advanced firefighting capabilities and participating in practical training sessions using the latest simulation technology.
They also inspected several naval vessels.
Vice admiral Ashraf Atwa, Commander of the Naval Forces, stressed the importance of collaborating with the Ministry of Interior to enhance firefighting training.
He highlighted the goal of maximising the use of available expertise and resources.
The delegation expressed appreciation for the visit, noting its role in improving the skills of firefighting personnel and ensuring they are equipped with the latest techniques and equipment to handle emergencies efficiently.
