KAFR EL SHEIKH – Navigation has been stopped for the second day in a row due to a spell of bad weather hitting the Mediterranean Sea and affecting coastal regions including the fishing port of Burullus in Kafr el Sheikh, said the operations and crises management room in the governorate.
The room said in a statement on Monday that Kafr el Sheikh Governor Gamal Noureddin instructed bodies concerned and heads of cities and villages to immediately deal with weather changes and intensify needed preparations to address the effects of the bad weather.
He directed the governorate’s operations room to coordinate with the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater and all other executive bodies to follow up the situation and handle any emergencies.
Noureddin is closely following up weather conditions around-the-clock in the governorate, the statement read.
