CAIRO – Egypt’s Manpower Minister Hassan Shehata underlined that the national strategy for employment will be swiftly finalized under directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in order to draw up the policies document of labor market and offering services and labor incentives in addition to securing true information.
He said the ministry is working with social partners to conclude the strategy and come up with a national service and informative document going in line with the labor market needs of the new republic.
Shehata made the remarks during a meeting of the committee entitled with preparing the national strategy for employment.
Meanwhile, the strategy’s adviser and former administrative development minister Ahmed Darwish said the strategy is based on several axes, topped by confronting the challenges of the demographic structure in Egypt.
Darwish said the third goal of Egypt Vision 2030 aims to create a strong, competitive and diversified economy through increasing employment rates, securing decent jobs, promoting the culture of entrepreneurship, green economy and digital transformation in addition to merging the informal economy into the formal one.
