National dialogue to refer its outcome on subsidies file to gov’t by end of Dec.

CAIRO – Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted that national dialogue will refer to the government by the end of the month the outcome of its discussions on the file of subsidized commodities, especially replacing in-kind subsidy with cash.

This came in response to a question by MENA reporter during the press conference held after the cabinet weekly meeting.

The premier said if experts and specialists agreed on the importance of replacing in-kind subsidy with cash, the step will be taken as of 2025-2026 fiscal year.

He expounded that this will be first piloted in one of the governorates.
