Head of the Tourism Workers’ Syndicate Bassem Halaqa has described the National Dialogue as a big opportunity to devise the new tourism map of Egypt, asserting the importance of the role of the governors in promoting tourism in their governorates.
In statements to state-run Middle East News Agency (MENA), Halaqa said that there are several promising governorates that should be taken into consideration in the coming stage to highlight the tourism map of Egypt.
He asserted the importance of the role of the governors to promote for their governorates via the regional Egyptian Tourism Authority in each governorate via holding several activities and benefiting from national festivals.
He asserted the importance of developing the aviation sector to improve tourism.
The state exerted several efforts to improve the tourism sector including the establishment of New Alamein city to contribute to promoting tourism in the North Coast region, he said.
He highlighted the pivotal role of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) in the coming stage to facilitate investments and support the single-window idea in addition to encouraging the investors to work according to a set plan put by the Egyptian state that includes new areas added to the Egyptian tourist sites.
