CAIRO – The National Dialogue is reflecting successful efforts exerted by all stakeholders in the country, said Member of the National Council For Human Rights Mohamed Mamdouh.
He told MENA that “the dialogue is considered a road map for creating common grounds toward the establishment of the new republic.”
He said all political parties, different currents, youths, politicians, human rights organizations and people from all walks of life are witnessing a new chapter of the new republic.
Mamdouh added the Egyptian state was keen on the establishment of common grounds and the participation of all segments of the society in the Dialogue, given that the new republic is based on freedom of opinion and expression.
Sessions of the Dialogue offer an important opportunity for tackling the file of boosting participation of all in the public affairs and work, he pointed out.
The opening of the National Dialogue comes a year after President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called, in April 2022, for a dialogue involving all political forces without exception or discrimination to find common grounds on priority political, social, and economic issues.
The long-awaited National Dialogue kicked off on Wednesday with several political forces, civil society groups, professional and labor unions, and public figures participating to discuss key political, economic, and social files.
