CAIRO – The National Alliance for Civil Development Work condemned on Sunday the terrorist attack on a water lifting station in western Sinai on Saturday, which left 10 army personnel killed and five others injured.
In its seventh meeting, the alliance showed its trust in the Armed Forces’ capability in uprooting terrorism, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
The meeting tackled ways of boosting the social protection network in line with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives.
The alliance’s members agreed on launching the second phase of ‘Wasl Al Khair 2’ on May 15 to ensure that the subsidies reach the most needy citizens and those who are harmed due to the deteriorating economic situation.
The national alliance began developing an integrated plan aimed at supporting the social protection network until the end of this year by maximizing the benefit of the cash support provided by the state to the alliance, worth EGP 9 billion, in addition to what is provided by the partner associations and institutions, estimated at EGP 5.5 billion by the end of this year.
