Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity and Board Chairperson of the Nasser Social Bank (NSB),Nevine el-Qabbag on Monday opened a new branch of the bank in Asmarat district in the integrated services complex.
The move came within bank policy to attain financial inclusion and expand its network nationwide.
After the opening ceremony, the minister was briefed on banking services to be offered by the new branch including opening bank accounts of all kinds, deposit and savings accounts, investment certificates, and smart Miza cards for pensioners and civil servants.
The new Al-Asmarat branch will also provide credit facilities, soft loans, car finance, in addition to funding small and medium enterprises, serving 17,000 families in Asmarat neighbourhood, Mokattam, Khalifa and el-Maadi.
The Nasser Social Bank has an investment arm to boost economic empowerment for the most vulnerable categories.
El-Qabbaj said that the new branch has human resources personnel trained in the latest banking methods.
NSB was founded in 1971 and is affiliated with the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
