CAIRO – Mufti of Egypt Shawki Allam greeted on Sunday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Defense Minister Mohamed Ahmed Zaki as well as the commanders and officers of the army on the 40th anniversary of Sinai Liberation that falls on Monday.
In a statement, Allam praised the sacrifices made by the Egyptian army to restore Sinai, expressing appreciation for army’s efforts to preserve the security and stability of Egypt.
He said the liberation of Sinai reflected the unity of the Egyptian people and their determination to achieve a victory.
Allam renewed his full solidarity with all State institutions to uproot terrorism, calling on all Egyptians to support these institutions and stand hand in hand to fight extremist and terrorist groups.
