CAIRO – Egypt’s Mufti Nazir Ayad Tuesday said that Islam promotes the principals of peace and goodness through the holy Quran and Sunnah, the sayings and traditions of the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).
He added that Islam calls for peaceful coexistence and cooperation among peoples and renounces disputes.
The mufti made the remarks while addressing an international conference titled “Islam: The Religion of Peace and Goodness,” which is taking place in the Uzbek cities of Tashkent and Khiva.
The mufti expressed sincere gratitude to the Muslim Administration of Uzbekistan for the kind invitation to participate in this conference, emphasising that Islam promotes the concepts of peace and goodness through its deep-rooted principles.
