The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) has signed an EGP150-million funding contract with Tamweely Company to develop desert hinterland villages.
The agency detailed in a statement on Saturday that the agreement is part of the state’s plan to upgrade the micro enterprises sector to contribute to developing and reconstructing desert hinterland villages and optimizing the use of development projects economically and socially.
Such efforts help serve citizens and create more job opportunities with further stability, the agency reiterated.
MSMEDA CEO Basel Rahmy said the new contract aims to expand in the current projects and establish new ones in 30 villages located in four governorates; namely Kafr El Sheikh, Beni Suef, Menya and Aswan, to serve nearly 6,000 beneficiaries.
