Mrs Entessar El Sisi emphasised that Egypt made remarkable progress towards achieving gender equality and women empowerment in recent years.
Mrs Sisi made such remarks during her speech in the opening session of the celebration by the Islamic World Organisation for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO) of launching the Year of Women 2021 under the slogan “Women and the Future” held Thursday in Morocco, via video conferencing.
“We still have to face many challenges, which hinder the full empowerment of women in our society in line with our inherent values, principles and international commitments,” Mrs Sisi said, expressing her happiness to participate in the event.
