A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Madkour Group and Republic of the Congo to carry out studies and implement national projects in Congo in power generating and transmission.
Madkour Group chair Mostafa Amin Madkour, Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso, Minister of International Co-operation for the Republic of the Congo, and the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy met to discuss ways to boost co-operation between Egypt and Congo in fields of common interest.
A delegation from Egyptian African Arab Co. for Development (EGAAD) Group attended the discussions.
Madkour reviewed the technical capabilities and engineering expertise of his group in the implementation of infrastructure, electricity and energy projects in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa.
He said that his company has the potentials to carry out development plans in Congo.
Madkour went on to say that his company is ready to transfer Egyptian expertise to the Congolese government with the aim of future co-operation.
Following the meeting, Madkour affirmed that this agreement represents a nucleus of co-operation between the Group and the Republic of Congo in electricity, energy, water and irrigation.
The Congolese delegation visited several development projects of the Madkour Group in the New Administrative Capital.
The two Congolese ministers expressed their appreciation of the capabilities of the Madkour Group in national projects.
