The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) and GlaxoSmithKline Egypt for pharmaceuticals signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for boosting co-operation.
Under the terms of the MoU, EDA staff and pharmacists nationwide will receive training to update their skills.
EDA Chairman Tamer Essam and Luis Arosemena, CEO of GlaxoSmithKline International (GSK’s) Emerging Markets, attended the signing ceremony.
Assistant to the EDA chairman for Technical Development Rasha Ziyadah, and Mohamed el-Daby, General Manager and Managing Director of GlaxoSmithKline Egypt, signed the MoU, which comes as part of EDA efforts to attain institutional excellence, develop its staff capabilities in accordance with the goals of the sustainable development strategy, widely known as Egypt’s Vision 2030.
