Egypt’s Mufti Shawki Allam announced on Saturday that Monday, May 25, 2022 will be the first day of Eidul Fitr in Egypt.
The new moon crescent has not been sighted after the sunset of Saturday, said the Mufti in a press release.
Thus Sunday, May 1, 2019 will be the last day of the holy month of Ramadan and Monday will be the first day of Shawal, added the statement.
