Egyptian Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla said 2023 will be a unique year for developing the mining sector, encouraging international mining companies and promoting partnerships with international investors in the mining domain.
He said in statements during a ministerial session on the role of the governments in qualifying the region to be investment attractive for producing minerals. The session was held within the framework of the Future Minerals Forum in Saudi Arabia.
Molla said Egypt gives top priority to developing the mining sector to boost its contribution to the national income under an integrated strategy.
He added that Egypt is deeply interested in expanding projects for minerals materials.
He referred to the issuance of legislations for luring investments to overcome the challenges facing the mining sector, highlighting the importance of dialogue between the government and the private sector.
