CAIRO- The new board of directors of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA) elected during its first meeting former foreign minister Mohamed el Orabi as the ECFA’s president.
It also elected Mohamed Mostafa Kamal as the ECFA’s vice president and Ali el Hefni as its secretary general.
The meeting tackled ECFA’s future plan as part of a presentation put forward by director general Ezzat Saad regarding the annual conference and the meetings and activities that will be held during 2023, according to an ECFA statement on Thursday.
The newly-appointed president, for his part, said that the upcoming period requires exerting utmost efforts in order to interact with the various Egyptian, regional and international issues.
Orabi, meanwhile, extended thanks to the ECFA’s board of directors for electing him, saying that the board, which gathers various qualified members, will contribute to attaining a quantum leap in the council’s performance in the upcoming period.
