The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has denied circulating reports and inaccurate information regarding the liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker involved in an incident off the Libyan coast.
The ministry emphasises unequivocally that the tanker was not en route to any Egyptian ports, nor is it involved in any contracts to deliver or receive LNG shipments to Egypt.
The ministry stressed that the circulating claims are completely unfounded and urged all media outlets to verify information with official sources before publication.
