CAIRO – Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced that natural gas has been delivered to 120 villages under the Decent Life Presidential Initiative.
It added that ground networks are being extended to 544 villages in conjunction with an ongoing sanitation plan.
In press statements Friday, Petroleum Minister Tareq el Mulla said the outcome of a project to deliver natural gas to homes has caused a relevant boom in the country and led to a slump in butane gas consumption.
Mulla made the remarks during an extended meeting to follow up on the status of a plan to deliver natural gas to homes during the 2021/2022 fiscal year, in addition to another one for the current fiscal year.
