CAIRO- Egyptian Minister of Finance Mohamed Maeet held a meeting Monday with ministers of Environment Yasmin Foad and Minister of International Co-operation Rania el-Mashat as part of preparations for holding COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh in November.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Finance expressed the ministry’s keenness on formulating a unified African vision on combatting climate changes through meeting with African ministers of environment and finance and holding workshops with international development partners in September within the framework of preparations for the Finance Day organised by Egypt ahead of COP27.
He said the current economic crisis worsened economic problems in developing and African countries, expressing Egypt’s keenness on taking part effectively in the gathering.
