State Minister for Military Production Mohamed Salaheddin, Minister of Public Business Sector Mahmoud Esmat and Chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) Mokhtar Abdel Latif discussed on Wednesday ways of boosting joint co-operation at the ministry’s premises.
Salaheddin said this is the first meeting following the Cabinet reshuffle to show constant coordination and integration among the three parties towards the production of Egyptian electric cars, that will compete global vehicles in quality and price.
He pointed out the meeting comes in accordance with directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to promote vistas of fruitful and constructive co-operation among the state’s different institutions, in order to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development.
Salaheddin said the Egyptian government believes in the necessity of encouraging the private sector to participate in national projects and increasing potential opportunities for investors.
In turn, Esmat commended serious co-operation with the State Ministry for Military Production and AOI to capitalise on various resources and IT and human potentials, with the aim of strengthening local manufacture in different industries as per state-of-the-art global quality systems.
For his part, Abdel Latif said the electric cars are now a very important issue and that Egypt is capable of localising the technology of manufacturing electric cars through possible potentials and experiences in national institutions in the country.
