Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa, Minister of State for Military Production, visited Helwan Engineering Industries Company (Military Factory 99) to follow up on production progress and ongoing projects in co-operation with various state agencies.
The minister conducted an inspection of the tools, molds, and spare parts workshops. During the visit, he received a comprehensive briefing from Ahmed Shoukry, the company chairman, and the work crews.
Minister Mustafa emphasised the critical need to overcome any implementation challenges and urged the company to take steps to attract new investments and forge strong partnerships.
He also stressed the importance of rigorously applying quality standards and safety procedures, particularly in areas like fire safety, storage, and occupational health, to guarantee a secure working environment.
Helwan Engineering recently received third place in the 2025 EXXA Engineering Export Excellence Awards, a testament to its success in boosting exports among industrial companies.
The company is a key supplier of military products, including heavy ammunition. It also leverages its surplus capacity to produce civilian goods such as gas cylinders, kitchenware, pistons, and fire extinguishers.
Furthermore, Helwan Engineering plays a vital role in national development projects, such as its partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture to upgrade dairy centers across the country.
