Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah el Din Mostafa said Helwan Casting Company (Factory 9) is a vital industrial stronghold for the state, citing its advanced foundries and production lines equipped with the latest technology capable of meeting a wide range of military and civilian needs for engineering castings used across feeder industries.
The minister’s remarks came during an unannounced inspection tour of the company aimed at standing on production operations.
Mostafa arrived at Helwan Castings at the start of the workday to monitor employees’ adherence to work schedules and the implementation of the daily production plan.
He toured several foundries and production lines that are comparable to global standards and staffed by highly trained workers.
During the visit, the minister listened to briefings by Bassem Ibrahim Ismail, the company’s authorized general manager, and work teams on the latest developments in assigned projects, adherence to implementation timelines, recent production and performance rates, and inventory levels.
Mostafa also heard workers’ views and demands, urging them to intensify efforts, directing officials to address challenges facing the workforce, provide a suitable working environment, boost productivity, and strengthen the company’s role in advancing national industry in line with political leadership directives.
