CAIRO – Lt.Colonel Tamer Saeed Abdel Zaher, a member of the teaching staff of the Egyptian Military Technical College, has won the bronze medal in the field of mechanics in the special virtual-only edition of International Inventions Conference 2021, held in Geneva on March 10-14, the military spokesman announced.
As many as 52 participants specialized in mechanics, machinery and engines joined the competition, the spokesman noted.
He underlined the Armed Forces Command special interest in providing all potentials to the army personnel to represent Egypt in international competitions.
He said the Egyptian inventor has won the prize over manufacturing a robot provided with special mechanisms for work on rough terrain with high speed. The invention could help in outlining maps for any underground tunnels and help in rescue operations in any catastrophes, in addition in sanitizing public place from coronavirus, the spokesman added.
The conference offers the possibility for inventors from all over the world to participate in the competition by presenting their invention via a 3-minute video that is judged by a panel of professional judges.
The following edition of the International Exhibition of Inventions in its usual form will be held at Palexpo in spring 2022. The Climate Show, guest of the International Exhibition of Inventions, will also take place in 2022.
