Minister of State for Military Mohamed Salah el-Dein Mostafa Sunday said that throughout the coming phase a top priority will be given to attracting further investments, and prioritizing research and development, with a view to boosting productivity and giving impetus to the national industry.
Mostafa made the remarks during a tour of Abu Zaabal Specialised Chemicals Company (Military Factory 18) to follow up on production operation of the company and affiliated units and assess compliance with directives of the Military Production Ministry aimed at enhancing performance.
The minister arrived at the company during employees’ check-in time to monitor punctuality in work start times and daily production targets.
He toured several production lines at Factory 18 where he was briefed by Acting Chairman Mohamed el Sayed el Badawy and the teamwork on production rates, performance over recent months, inventory status, supply needs, updates on ongoing projects, and steps taken to implement development plans.
He also got first hand information about workers’ feedback and encouraged them to exert greater effort.
The minister instructed removing all obstacles facing workers along with ensuring a suitable work environment to enhance performance, raise productivity, and reinforce the company’s vital role in supporting the national economy and advancing local industry.
During the tour, Mostafa reviewed storage procedures at the company warehouses to verify the implementation of periodic inventory checks and stressing the importance of maintaining clean and organized storage units.
He also inspected compliance with safety measures, including the use of protective equipment, underlining commitment f the Military Production Ministry to workplace safety standards to safeguard both personnel and assets.
At the conclusion of the tour, the minister issued directives to maintain continuous improvement measures, apply quality standards in production processes, preserve company assets and resources, adhere to project timelines, implement principles of governance and internal oversight, and follow scheduled maintenance programs to ensure the technical efficiency and longevity of production lines.
