CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Morsi praised the activities of the World Youth Forum (WYF), noting that it sends a message of peace from Egypt to the whole world and opens up dialogue about various development issues.
He commended the convocation of the forum after two years of its suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic, asserting the state’s keenness on empowering youths and benefiting from their energies, ideas and potentials in the process of development and state growth.
The minister also underlined the state’s confrontation to the negative impact of the pandemic which has impacted the economic situation, noting that the state continued in subsidising prices and has taken suitable measures to help achieve balance in the business market and contain the negative influence of such crisis on citizens of all categories.
The 4th World Youth Forum was launched on January 10 and runs until January 13, in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai Governorate. The forum’s activities include discussing a set of important topics in light of the necessary preventative measures needed to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
