Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production Engineer Mohamed Salah el-Din Moustafa made a surprise visit on Wednesday to Helwan Metal Equipment Company (360 Military Factory), an industrial giant affiliated to the Military Production Ministry.
The visit comes within a series of unannounced inspection tours to monitor the continuity of production and quality control in order to assess the extent of implementation of previous ministerial directives.
The minister was keen to be present at the Helwan Metal Equipment firm early to ensure good time-keeping and adherence to health and safety rules, a ministry statement said.
The minister inspected raw material stores and final product warehousing to make sure that inventory is being kept accurately.
He also inspected production lines for domestic heaters, stoves, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, and washing machines.
The minister also checked performance indicators, sales volumes and developments related to contracts recently signed with various parties.
The minister then reviewed production and marketing plans, inventory, production requirements, maintenance programmes and industrial and cyber security procedures, directing continuous follow-up of procedures for applying codes for maintenance and storage.
