Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah el-Din Mostafa met Tuesday with chairmen of his ministry’s affiliated companies and units, senior sector heads and advisers to review progress on ongoing projects and budget implementation, according to a statement by the Ministry of Military Production.
The meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Capital, reviewed work across the Ministry’s entities, adherence to project timelines and efforts to remove any obstacles to manufacturing as quickly as possible, the statement said.
The minister also reviewed the implementation status of the draft general plan budget for fiscal year 2025/26, what has been achieved in the first half of the current year and projections for the coming period, it added.
Discussions covered future plans for each company and unit, including revenues, output, net sales, finished goods inventories, workforce levels, wages, raw materials, income and expenditure summaries and performance indicators, according to the statement.
Mostafa stressed the need for all sectors to support affiliated entities in executing the current fiscal year budget strategy, monitoring production, boosting capacity and upgrading technology.
He directed companies to modernize production lines, raise performance levels, invest in human capital, apply governance mechanisms and curb spending, while ensuring integration among entities and optimal use of available resources and assets, it said.
The minister further urged regular on-site follow-up of projects to ensure timely completion and called on company heads to hold periodic meetings with workers to address challenges proactively, promote innovation and appoint qualified staff based on merit, the statement said. The Ministry aims to strengthen its role as a key supplier to the armed forces and as a major industrial arm of the state producing competitive civilian goods and contributing to national development projects, it added.
