Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah el Dien Mostafa Thursday emphasized the importance of maintaining a close follow up on the progress of the production processes across all the affiliate companies and units to formulate a clear vision for their development and enhance production.
The minister of state made the remarks during a surprise inspection visit to Helwan Machinery and Equipment Company (Factory 999), as a part of his onsite monitoring tours of the Military Production firms and units.
Mostafa highlighted the importance for collaboration with both local and international private sectors to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
He stressed the importance of proactive problem-solving, leveraging modern technology, preserving assets, along with adherence to occupational safety and health (OSH) standards.
During the inspection tour, the minister of state checked on the company’s production lines, which supply the armed forces with various military equipment, including mortars, rocket launchers and bridge-laying equipment.
The company also manufactures several civilian products, including agricultural machinery, environmental equipment and transportation components.
