Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin has reaffirmed his commitment to closely monitoring projects implemented by the ministry’s affiliated entities, swiftly removing obstacles to execution, and taking decisions that help attract investment.
The remarks came during the minister’s inspection tour of Helwan Engineering Industries Company (Military Factory 99), as part of ongoing field follow-ups to ensure the smooth progress of production across all ministry-affiliated companies and units.
During the visit, the minister received an overview from Factory 99 Chairman Mohamed El-Ashmawy on production rates and performance during the previous period, inventory levels, maintenance activities, industrial safety measures, and adherence to project implementation timelines.
El-Din also reviewed the factory’s development plans, noting that it operates production lines comparable to international standards and is supported by a highly trained workforce.
The minister listened to the views and demands of several employees, urging them to intensify their efforts and foster a supportive work environment that enhances productivity and strengthens the company’s role in supporting the national economy and local industry.
He stressed the importance of implementing presidential directives aimed at localising advanced manufacturing technologies, increasing local content, and creating added value for the Egyptian economy.
