Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eldin Mostafa held a meeting Saturday to follow up on the implementation progress of Abo Rawash’s waste-to-energy plant.
He held the meeting with Board Chairman of Renergy Group Partners-affiliated Green Tech Egypt Company Robert Valk and the company’s executive director Islam Ramadan at the Military Production Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
The minister underlined the importance of the project, which is the first of its kind in Egypt and aims to recycle 1,200 tons of waste a day to produce 30 megawatt per hour.
The project also has positive impacts on the environment, health of citizens and the national economy and contributes to providing large quantities of natural gas and increasing direct foreign investments in Egypt, the minister added.
