Egyptian Military Production Minister Mohamed Ahmed Morsy met Sunday with Governor of South Sinai Khaled Fouda to follow up the implementation of a central park project in Sharm el Sheikh.

The project is being established ahead of the upcoming climate summit (COP27), which is set to take place in the Red Sea resort city in November.

They discussed details about the project and the deadline for completion.

The minister directed the Benha Electronics Co. to periodically update him with progress achieved in the project.

He touched upon unified efforts by all bodies concerned to help render the COP27 successful.

The minister also talked about fruitful cooperation with the governorate of South Sinai, where many ventures are planned to be implemented with the aim to serve residents on the peninsula.

All military production companies are keen on implementing the projects with high efficiency and in accordance with deadlines, Morsy assured.

For his part, Fouda greatly appreciated tireless efforts by the Ministry of Military Production to push forward development in Egypt in line with directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Bracing for COP27, President Sisi had ordered action to increase greenery in Sharm el Sheikh ahead of the big event.

The under-construction central park should extend over 110,000 square meters and would help turn Sharm el Sheikh into an international green city, Fouda explained.
