Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salaheddin Moustafa had talks on Wednesday with Thamer Alrayes, the Board chairman and CEO of Mayar Holding Company, which owns Gulf Elevators and Escalators Co. Ltd, promoting bilateral co-operation.
The meeting took place at the Military Production premises in the New Administrative Capital.
During their meeting, the military production minister lauded the key role of Egypt Gulf Elevators and Escalators Company (EGGEEC) in the country in light of the growing construction business.
He further noted that the factory produces elevators of various types, whether for residential buildings, factories or hospitals.
Egypt Gulf Elevators and Escalators Company (EGGEEC) applies the European code in the manufacturing processes at its factory, the minister said, adding that the company awarded many quality certificates; such as ISO 9001 for the year of 2015 in the field of design, manufacturing, installation and distribution of electric elevators.
The company also awarded a TÜV certification, which means a sampling of the product has been tested for safety and found to meet the minimum requirements of the German Equipment and Product Safety Act, the minister added.
For his part, the CEO of Mayar Holding Company lauded the level of cooperation with the Military Production Ministry in electric elevator installation and maintenance.
The media advisor to the Minister of State for Military Production and the Ministry’s official spokesman, Mohamed Eid Bakr, expressed the ministry’s keenness on cooperating with the public and private sectors and strengthening ties binding Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
