CAIRO – Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah el-Dien Mostafa on Sunday directed his ministry officials to work on attracting further investments and creating fresh strategic partnerships with various state bodies, within the framework of the Ministry of Military Production’s work strategy which is based on continued upgrade and development, localisation of technologies and achieving integration with various bodies including private sector firms.
The minister made the remarks during a surprise tour of Abu Zaabal Engineering Industries Company (AZE) (Military Factory 100) to follow up on the progress of the production process.
Mostafa directed regular adoption of procedures meant to enhance the performance, applying quality assurance standards in the production processes, preserving assets and resources of the company along with ensuring commitment to the timetable of implementing the underway projects.
Abu Zaabal Engineering Industries Company is a pioneer in engineering and steel manufacturing in Egypt and the Middle East, the minister said.
He added that the company boasts production lines that rival global standards, employs a highly trained workforce, and possesses a range of technological capabilities, including heat and surface treatment operations to enhance the mechanical and wear resistance properties of large metal products.
The minister also visited Armored Production and Repair Factory (Military Factory 200) that repairs tanks and armored vehicles to follow on the production progress and inspect the main production line.
