The event was attended by Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Chief of Staff of the Libyan Ground Forces, along with commanders of the main service branches, senior Armed Forces officials, ambassadors, military attachés, public figures, and members of the media.

In his address, Major General Atef Abdel Raouf Mahmoud, Director of the Academy, reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to advancing military education and academic excellence. He stressed that empowering military and civilian leaders with advanced knowledge and strategic awareness is fundamental to national progress and security.

The event featured a documentary highlighting the academy’s training methodology and various stages of academic preparation. A special segment commemorated two significant milestones: the 60th anniversary of the Military Academy and the 200th anniversary of the Command and Staff College. The presentation highlighted the institutions’ enduring role in shaping generations of military and civilian leaders.

The head of the Armed Forces Training Authority formally announced the graduation results, followed by the presentation of commemorative shields by students to the chief of staff. The director of the Armed Forces Personnel Affairs Department then announced the awarding of academic degrees and honoured the top-performing graduates.

Lieutenant General Khalifa presented military decorations and certificates of merit to the distinguished graduates, commending their dedication and excellence throughout their academic journey.

In his closing remarks, he conveyed congratulations from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and General Abdel Maguid Saqr, Minister of Defence and Military Production. He congratulated the graduates on completing their studies at one of the nation’s foremost military institutions and reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ continued investment in advancing its educational infrastructure. He also highlighted the strategic significance of the academy’s new headquarters under the Strategic Command, designed to meet international standards and prepare future leaders to confront evolving regional and global challenges.
