Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati extended thanks to the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his permanent backing to Lebanon in all fields, praising the quick response of the Egyptian president to Lebanon’s needs of vaccines and medicine to combat the cholera outbreak.
In a statement released Monday by the Lebanese cabinet, Mikati said the health minister informed him that Egypt has sent a consignment of 1,705 tons of vaccines and medicine laden in 17 trucks.
The Lebanese premier is taking part at the UN Climate Summit which kicked off on Sunday in Sharm El Sheikh and is due to wrap up on November 18.
