Board Chairman and Editor-In-Chief of the Middle East News Agency (MENA) Aly Hassan has praised the firm decision by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi against an Israeli proposal to forcibly displace the Palestinian people outside their lands.
Sisi’s rejection has been widely supported at the international level, Hassan said in a seminar organised by the Muslim World League in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday. The seminar was aimed to probe the role of the media in fomenting hate speech and violence.
He said that the president made it clear that this move would threaten the national security of many countries in the region.
The Muslim media must act to have its materials and reports aired in many foreign languages to be able to convey true and honest coverage of developing events to all world countries, Hassan stressed, calling it a compelling matter.
This could help refute misleading news promoted by the Israeli media, especially where the heinous aggression in Gaza is concerned, he noted.
Hassan urged all Arab and Muslim media outlets to exchange information about the Palestinian cause.
