Egyptian tennis player Mayar Sherif has reached the semifinals of the 2021 Buenos Aires Open (WTA125) after beating Georgian Ekaterine Gorgodze, world no. 161, in their quarterfinals’ clash Friday
Sherif is aspiring to win her second piece of silverware in 2021 after having won the Liqui Moly Open in Germany.
The Egyptian player has career-high WTA rankings of world no. 64 in singles, as well as world no. 141 in doubles.
