Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation and Governor of Egypt at the World Bank Group Rania el-Mashat stressed the importance of boosting structural reforms in multilateral development banks, particularly the World Bank Group.
The ministry said in a statement on Saturday that Mashat’s remarks came while attending two high-level meetings on the sidelines of the 2023 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Washington.
Mashat called for promoting coordination and joint action among related parties including governments, multilateral development banks and the Private Sector to expand innovative finance tools.
