CAIRO – Egypt’s International Cooperation Minister Rania el Mashat tackled, during a cabinet’s meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, the development policy program that will be prepared by the ministry in cooperation with the World Bank (WB).
The program is part of the structural reforms that are implemented by the Egyptian government.
Mashat said during the meeting that was held in the cabinet’s premises in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), that the joint development policies program with WB is a partnership program between the Egyptian government and international development partners.
The program calls for boosting the economic competition edge and improving business environment, she said, adding it is aiming to empower the private sector and support governance in state-owned companies.
The minister added the development program is mainly contributing to supporting green transition and curbing carbon emissions along with promoting efforts aimed at combating climate change.
